Overview
The MedfoNet solution is designed from the ground up specifically to meet the unique business requirements of the Workers’ Compensation marketplace. The platform is built on a core framework of re-usable objects and services developed with widely-adopted Microsoft technologies. This allows the addition of new modules and components to accommodate a wide spectrum of applications and requirements for the near term and also into the future as the company adds features and functionality.
The MedfoNet solution runs on IIS from the Microsoft 2000 Advanced Server operating system, SQL 2000 provides the robust database backend. The enterprise class servers are hosted at a secure data center facility with advanced power back-up, fire suppression, flood and earthquake protection, 24x7 on-site support, behind firewall and other security precautions, and are load balanced to provide optimum performance, scalability, and reliability.

Secure & HIPAA Compliant
An early adopter of the security practices recommended by HIPAA, MedfoNet already has in place solutions for secure user authentication, user and role level access controls, audit trails, session timeout, and system vulnerability safeguards. All transactions are via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) to provide 128-bit encryption between users and MedfoNet. MedfoNet utilizes a sophisticated database schema that securely partitions private versus public account data and is a critical component to MedfoNet’s permissions-based access control system.

Robust & Flexible Platform
As a fully-hosted solution, users access the MedfoNet product and data through a dynamic/customized web-based interface that is template driven and easy-to-use. MedfoNet requires no client-side software installation; all software and data resides on the MedfoNet servers. It takes only a minute or two for a user to set up a link to MedfoNet.
MedfoNet is a flexible software solution designed to be easily customized to meet the requirements of different types of customers or workflows. MedfoNet leverages the low-cost and pervasiveness of Internet connectivity. As a web-based service, there are no individual releases and upgrades, and all product changes are immediately available to clients.
